After juggling the orders via email, they are coming in faster and faster, i am now offering the pearl as a standard order option. Please note: there is a wait time on the Pearl, and ordering will add your name to The Pearl waitlist. i will do my best to keep the Pearl list less than a month long to get more and more out there into your hands ;) here is info until i get everything squared away :The Pearl Info

The Pro Build: The pro build is available for those wanting ridiculous attention to detail. each Pro Build Pearl is built with the TOP quality components sourced specifically for the Pro Build. Bradley NOS resistors, silver mica caps, clothe wiring and built on tag board similar to the old PTP amps. Pro Build Pearls are available in your choice of enclosure colors, knobs and are NOT built in batches. They are the same circuit as the standard pearl, and the quality of parts used has a MINOR affect on the tones. In addition to socketed IC chips, the Pro build also has socketed clipping diodes to allow you even more tweakability. The majority of the additional cost of the Pro is parts, the rest is due to the added time required for build and extra attention to detail.
The PRO BUILD is being temporarily discontinued until i can streamline the process a little more

custom enclosure color: i’ve been doing custom enclosure pearls for people, and more people ask on them. if you want a custom enclosure color than jump on a pedal parts plus and order a 1590BB enclosure (3.7×4.7″x1″) in the color of your choice and have it shipped to me here at this1smyne. checkout with the custom color option (down by the pro build) and follow with an email letting me know what color i’d be expecting and from where. generally these take a little bit longer to build as it could be 1-3 weeks for the enclosure to land at times.

The approx build time for a Pearl Overdrive is 2-4 weeks

top row looking down is Volume Gain, Volume Drive
second row is shine, FB (presence) and tone
shine will ADD high end to the touch drive. i run this pretty low (9 oclock ish) and use Humbuckers primarily. some people like it HIGH and i don’t get that, but again, each person has their own ears. start with it lower (or off) and move it up
the FB (feedback) control will give more presence to your signal. you will hear notes ‘bloom’ more and at settings higher than 12 can achieve more harmonic content. stacked you’ll hear it start to feedback. literally. watch yourself.
tone on the punch side is self explanatory. 12 is neutral, < darkens > brightens
the toggle in the middle is a flip flop order reverse toggle for the two sides. LED on means they are backward (punch last in chain) LED off means it is in stock config.
the clipping toggles are three way,
outside (away from each other) is symmetrical clipping. some el84/34 type amps prefer this. you’ll hear it more when stacking on the touch drive
put into the middle is a ‘lifted’ clipping position, it will be noticeably louder on teh punch side, but will yield some pretty unstable tones at higher gains there.

pointed towards each other (to the middle of the pedal, or ‘at’ the flip flop switch) is asymmetrical, which is the stock position.

a description i wrote for a client: The Pearl is a dual stage overdrive with a thicker compressed gained out side (punch drive) and a more transparent touch sensitive side more akin to a Tim or nobles overdrive on the other (the touch drive). the switches turn each side on and off (can be used independently or together) and the toggles are clipping toggles that can do gain adjustments to dial in the pearl to a variety of different amps making it incredibly versatile. i’ve been using one personally for 9 years now and i play live 3-5 nights a week a variety of venues and i’m always ALWAYS getting tone compliments, and typically the pearl is the only drive i use. i wouldn’t push it if i didn’t believe in it. the thing is incredible.
