MOD’ifying Your Pedals

I love to modify pedals! But I won’t rip off someone else’s mod. Please don’t ask me to do ‘The Keeley Mod’ or ‘The Analogman Mod’,  feel free to send me your pedals for me to mess with and hack up (so to speak) – I enjoy it!

A note on mods: *(based off real life customer emails)

IF you have a pedal that is SO CRUCIAL to your economic stability as a fulltime musician, and you CANNOT live without that pedal  for an extended period of time, PLEASE DON’T send it in to be modded without having a stand in replacement. Mods take dedicated time, esp one off mods and rehouses.

Rehouses are no longer being offered from the T1M custom shop. sorry guys.

True Bypass Mod – will install true bypass on your pedal, involves some drilling and stopping up the old stomp on board price $30  if w/a rehouse $20

The silent Treatment popular with the church folks :D takes those annoying true bypass pops out of the equation by providing a soft touch momentary stomp to activate a relay, turning the unit on and off SILENTLY. here’s one of a wah $35 if you want a remote jack please add $5

Ernie Ball Mods

Tone Suck Mod – installs a buffer to your ernie ball pedal (and a power jack) use that tuner output without impedance issues $35 additional options: toggles $5 extra, battery clip $5 extra, on/off buffer $20 extra
Blender Mod –
turns your ernie ball into a blender unit, will no longer function as a volume pedal, on/off true bypass stomp available for $25 more   $75
Expression Ernie –
Swap your ernie ball into an expression pedal (consumes the tuner out jack) on a stomp (full volume) $50 Available in a 1590B enclosure (externally) for $80

Boss Pedals-

i can modify any boss pedal, but again, these are MY take on mods, i’m not going to steal analogman or keeley or anything like that.
Hi Cut Mod (DD5, RV3, etc)

Kill Switch Mod (Boss Delay, will kill the dry signal)

Expression pedal (on any knob)

Fixed Preset Mod: takes those selector switches, puts one at your feet, so you can access mode 9 and 8 on the DD5 at the same time (will keep the tempo you tap into the clock) video here $80 includes the footswitch and cable, compatible with all boss pedals

the boss mods are $30 if ordered by themselves, or $25 if ordered together (hi cut and kill switch) the preset mod is $55 on board and $80 off board.

Boss GE7 Think Tank mod $50 lowers the noise floor, replaces all teh IC’s with hi quality Tl072 chips, makes your GE7 a force to be reckoned with. after doing this mod to my personal unit i leave it on all the time :/ also makes for a KILLER solo pedal

Boss DD20 Mods

BPM mod: will hack into the BPM readout of the DD20 and send it as a tap tempo through an isolated output with polarity toggle (center position ‘off’) this is a CONSTANT read, meaning whatever BPM the DD20 is set to will be the tap tempo sent. if you change presets it will change the tempo, if you tap a new tempo, it will change the tempo. this is by far the most accurate tap tempo available. *note* this requires moving the power supply input.       $45

External Freakout: warp mode external footswitch option in case your DD20 is on the backrow but you want to use the warp mode without stomping your other units $20

Eventide Factors

I do a switch swap on the eventide timefactor modfactor space and pitchfactor pedals. some say ‘those stomps are silent why would you upgrade them’ i say ‘i’ve played live enough in a church setting where the pastor is praying and i’m scrolling presets through my space with him giving me the ‘SHHHH!!!!’ wave behind his back’ these are the same stomps used in the DL4 mod.                  $30

Line 6 DL4:

Expression Wheel Mod: on side or on top your choice, built in to save room on your board
mini fixed expression installed (double preset mod)-  this functions in place of the EXP pedal input INTERNALLY to give you a fixed setting on each channel, essentially doubling your presets.
volume fix - Standard is unity gain, i can also make it LOUDER than unity, almost like a line driver if you use it in trails mode
LED Changes - whatever colors you like
External Tap Tempo Mod – will give or receive tap tempo to another unit
new Paint – whatever color you’d like
PEEP option- comes with a toggle for turning it off, can be ridiculously fun for soundscape ambient stuff, and can get in the way (thus the toggle)
feedback mod (oscillation on momentary stomp)- max out your repeats on a stomp, when you release they cut. again, my wanna-be-soundscape-indie-rocker jumping out

NEW: LOOPER preset mod: jump to the loop feature on the Dl4

(email me for options and a quote) DL4 mods are $20 a piece and $30 for paint and looper

Nova Delay Preset external Tap Tempo Mod

An external footswitch that can control any 2 of the features on the Nova Delay. popular choices are the presets and tap tempo. The price of this mod includes the necessary cable and foot controller: $80 plus return shipping
NOTE: the footswitch has an additional tap tempo out to synch up another delay
Another note: there is no bank down available…. its not in the programming of the nova. if you need bank down you need to get a timefactor: but i’ve never had anyone complain about having the bank up in such a small enclosure. its easy to scroll.

All mods require your pedal in hand and return shipping will be charged as well.
